In the summer of 2017, I was invited for an artist residency by the city of Brașov, Romania. During this stay, I repeatedly hiked Mount Tampa, which watches over the city, located at the crossroads between East and West. For centuries, during the dark hours of invasions from all directions, the inhabitants of Brașov found refuge in the caves of this maternal mountain. After long nights, a glimmer of dawn rises. The photograph taken on Mount Tampa is an ode to the protective nature in the face of human catastrophes.
